Community Forum for Mountain Lakes, Boonton Township, and Boonton

January 30th, 7:00 – 9:00 PM, at the Boonton Township Offices, 155 Powerville Road

On Wednesday, January 30, will be one of eight grass-roots meetings being held throughout our local scouting district to discuss the challenges and opportunities for Scouting in each town.

Much of our focus will be on growing our Cub Scout Packs, which is open to all first through fifth grade boys, and retaining their members. This is the greatest challenge facing Scouting, but we will also discuss transitioning to Boy Scout Troops, Venturing opportunities for coed high school youth, and any topic that you see as important for your town.

We hope to find action steps specific to each town’s needs. Each meeting will begin at 7:00 pm and conclude no later than 9:00.

Please share with any adults in our towns who may want to learn about the scouting programs and who care about keeping such programs strong and growing.
